SECTION 01 / THE MATH The math

Idle machines don't pay themselves off.

Representative numbers from a single mid-tier ball machine. Your mileage will vary based on rate, location, and how aggressively you list.

Idle hours / week

~140 hrs

A 168-hour week, minus the 4-5 hours a serious player actually uses their own machine. The other 95% is dead time.

Assumes ~30 min/day of personal training use.

Potential monthly

₱27k / mo

A ₱850/hr machine rented out for 8 hours a week, four weeks a month. Real listings range from ₱8k to ₱45k.

Gross earnings, before income tax. PartnerUp doesn't take a cut.

Typical payback

~15 weeks

A ₱100,000 (about $1,800) Spinshot rented at ₱850/hr for 8 hrs/week breaks even on the machine cost in about 15 weeks.

Excludes maintenance, electricity, and your time.

SECTION 02 / HOW IT WORKS How it works

Four steps from sitting idle to earning.

Step 01

List the machine.

Add photos, brand, model, ball capacity, and your hourly rate. Takes about 5 minutes from your phone.

Step 02

Set availability.

Block the hours you train, set recurring open slots, or open one-off windows. Renters can only book what you've opened.

Step 03

Renter books a slot.

A renter picks a slot from your open hours. You get a notification with the details — their name, rental history, rating, and how to reach them.

Step 04

Handoff and payment.

Renter scans at a partner QR-locker or meets you in person. They pay you directly — GCash, bank transfer, or cash, whatever you set. Confirm the return in the app so it lands in their rental history.

SECTION 03 / WHAT YOU GET What you get

A real listing tool, not a Facebook post.

Everything an owner actually needs to run a small rental operation off a phone. We've intentionally cut the things you don't.

TOOL 01 · AVAILABILITY

Per-machine availability calendar.

Block your own training hours first. Open recurring slots. Add one-off windows when you know you'll be out of town. Renters can only book what you've opened — never your private time.

  • Recurring open hours (e.g. Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
  • One-tap blackout for personal training days
  • Buffer time between rentals (defaults to 30 min)
  • Set per-machine if you list more than one

TOOL 02 · RENTER RATINGS

No sketchy strangers.

There's no ID check on renters — but every renter carries a public rental history and a rating from other owners, and you see all of it before you confirm. Block specific renters from your machine. Auto-decline first-timers if you want to.

  • Ratings from past owners on every renter
  • Public rental history & rating
  • Block list — keep certain renters out
  • Auto-approve repeat renters, manual for first-timers

TOOL 03 · PUBLIC LISTING

A real product page you can share.

Every listing gets its own page with photos, full specs, calendar, and reviews. Drop the link in your IG bio. Send it in a tennis group chat. Renters book without even installing the app.

  • Up to 8 photos plus spec sheet
  • Shareable URL — partnerup.app/m/your-machine
  • Featured in discovery feed for nearby players
  • Public reviews from past renters

SECTION 04 / WHO IT'S FOR Who it's for

Built for solo owners and venues.

Same product, two scales. Pick the side that sounds like you.

Solo owner

One machine. Casual income on the side.

  • Hobbyist or coach with one machine
  • Pickup-only or hand-off at a court
  • 5-15 rental hours per week
  • Pays for the machine in months, not years
Venue / facility

Multiple machines. Scheduled staff. Lockers.

  • Multi-machine dashboard under one account
  • QR-lockers with no staff intervention
  • Team logins with role permissions
  • Consolidated earnings view across all machines
Pricing

List free. Keep what you earn.

PartnerUp doesn't take a commission on machine rentals. Listing is free, and renters pay you directly — what they pay is what you keep.

Free · No commission

₱0 to list · 0% commission on bookings.

We don't charge owners and we don't take a cut of rentals. PartnerUp's revenue comes from player and coach subscriptions — listings exist because more machines on the platform means more reasons for players to subscribe.

Subject to identity & machine verification. Cancel by un-listing.

  • Unlimited machine listings
  • Renters pay you directly — no PartnerUp settlement flow
  • Public rental history & rating on every renter
  • QR-locker integration (where available)
  • Discovery placement in the rental feed
SECTION 05 / TRUST & SAFETY Trust & safety

What's coming for trust.

The protections we're building for the machine-rental side. We'd rather under-promise here than walk it back later.

Reputation

Reputation, not ID checks

To be straight with you: there's no government-ID check on renters. What protects you is a public rental history and rating from other owners — visible on every booking request — so a bad track record follows the renter, not you.

Live
Screening

Block list & renter history

Block specific renters from your machine, auto-decline first-timers, or require a minimum rating. Renter history is public — bad actors don't get a clean slate by trying a different owner.

Planned
Disputes

Chat-mediated dispute support

If a rental goes sideways, open a dispute thread and our team will mediate. We don't hold the money (you and the renter handle payment directly), so we can't issue refunds — but we document the dispute, weigh the photos and rental history, and decide whether the renter's rating takes a hit.

Planned
Insurance

Equipment insurance partnership

We're exploring a partnership with a local insurer for damage coverage on listed machines. No pricing, no coverage terms, no timeline yet — flagged here so the absence isn't quiet.

Exploring
FAQ

Owner questions, answered.

The questions that come up in the first DM after someone reads this page.

Tennis: Lobster, Spinshot, Slinger, Playmate, Wilson — basically anything portable. Pickleball: Spinshot, Lobster, Simon. Hoppers, ball baskets, and gear bundles also list as long as they're functional. If your gear isn't in the dropdown when you list, just choose "Other" and write it in — we don't gatekeep brands.

Either. Most solo owners do hand-off at a court they regularly play at. Partner venues with QR-lockers are an option if you want zero-touch rentals, but they're not required. You choose the handoff method per machine when you list it.

Open a dispute thread in-app within 24 hours of return and attach the pre and post-rental photos (the app prompts you for both). Our team will mediate the conversation between you and the renter — but because PartnerUp doesn't hold the money for the rental (you and the renter handle payment directly), we can't issue refunds or release a security deposit on your behalf. What we can do: document the dispute, weigh the photos and rental history, and decide whether the renter's rating takes a hit (which affects whether other owners will accept their future bookings). Repair costs are between you and the renter. Equipment insurance via a partner is exploratory — no timeline yet — so the honest answer is: damage is your exposure today, and the strongest protection is screening renters via ID + rating + history before you accept.

Renters pay you directly — PartnerUp doesn't sit between you and your money. You and the renter settle however works for you both (GCash, bank transfer, cash on handover), and because there's no platform cut, what they pay is what you keep. PartnerUp handles discovery, renter ratings, and scheduling; the payment itself stays between you and the renter. Your dashboard keeps a record of every booking so you can track what you've earned and export it for taxes any time.

Yes — the calendar is opt-in only. Nothing is bookable until you mark it open. Set recurring blocks (e.g. "Tue/Thu 6-8am, every week"), open specific date windows, or just open slots one at a time. Renters can never book outside the windows you've explicitly opened.

Yes, on the same account. Your coach roster, session calendar, and machine listings all live under one login. PartnerUp doesn't take a commission on bookings on either side — your Coach Pro subscription covers the coaching tools, and machine listings are free.

Yes. Venue accounts get a multi-machine dashboard, team logins with role permissions (owner, manager, staff), and a consolidated booking and earnings view across every machine. Reach out via the application form if you're listing 5+ machines so we can set up the account properly from day one.
