SECTION 01 / THE PROBLEM Before & After

You've already paid for the lesson that never happened.

Three things every Philippines-based player who's tried to book a coach has lived through at least once. We built the boring, professional version of the answer.

Before

DM'd 3 coaches. Got 2 replies. 1 ghost. The fourth one only replies through his ex-student.

After

Tap a slot on the calendar. Confirmation lands in seconds. If a coach can't make it, you know before you've packed your bag.

Before

Different rate every time you ask. ₱1,200, then ₱1,500, then "depende sa court fee."

After

Rates are public on every coach's profile. Same rate for everyone. Court fees are itemised before you confirm.

Before

Paid in advance via GCash. Coach was a no-show. Your money is in the wind and the screenshots are doing nothing.

After

Book coaches with public ratings and a no-show history that follows them. A coach who flakes takes the rating hit and loses future bookings — skin in the game, not an anonymous IG account.

SECTION 02 / VERIFIED COACHES Verified Coaches

Verified coaches get a real human looking at their credentials.

The green check next to a coach's name isn't a sticker they bought. It's confirmation that a person on our team has seen their certification, ID, and governing-body registration where it exists — and that the photo on the profile is actually them.

Step 01

Credentials submitted

Coaches upload ID, coaching certification, and any governing-body registration. Insurance details if they carry one.

Step 02

Reviewed by a human

Our team checks every application by hand within 5 business days. No automated approval, no rubber-stamp.

Step 03

Green check goes live

The verified badge appears next to their name on every feed card and chat. Reviews from real students live on the same profile.

SECTION 03 / THREE WAYS TO TRAIN Three ways to train

Pick the format that matches how you actually learn.

Every coach lists which formats they offer and at what rate. No bait-and-switch, no "ah, that's actually a group price."

Format 01 · Most popular

1-on-1

A private session at your level. Coach picks drills based on what you've been working on, adjusts in real time, and writes a recap when you're done.

60 / 90 / 120 min Pay per session
Format 02

Recurring

Lock in a weekly slot. Same day, same time, same coach — yours. Billed up front for the month so the schedule doesn't quietly drift.

~10% cheaper 4-session packs Skip up to 1 / mo
Format 03

Group clinics

A small group with one coach. Cheaper per head, more reps against a variety of strokes. Seat caps so it's still actually coaching, not chaos.

From ~₱500/seat 3–6 player cap Waitlist on full
SECTION 04 / BOOKING & PROGRESS Booking

Booking that, somehow, doesn't suck.

BOOKING 01 · LIVE CALENDAR

Pick a real slot from a real calendar.

The booking confirms instantly. Reschedule rules are visible up-front, not invented after the fact — and your booking history is on the record, not a screenshot. You pay the coach directly; PartnerUp doesn't sit in the middle of the money.

  • Live calendar — no double-bookings, no fake "available" slots
  • Pay your coach directly — no platform cut, no money held by the app
  • Reschedule rules shown before you confirm — not after
  • No-shows and late cancels hit the coach's public rating

PROGRESS 02 · SESSION RECAPS

Every session you've ever taken, in one place.

After each session your coach writes a quick recap — what you worked on, what to drill before next time, where your level is sitting. The recap lives on your match history, not in a chat thread that scrolled past three weeks ago.

  • Recap notes auto-attached to every session
  • Track what to drill before next time
  • Level milestones marked as you hit them
  • Switch coaches without losing your history

SECTION 05 / TRUST & SAFETY Trust & Safety

The boring rails that make this a real business transaction.

If a coach is going to be paid up-front by strangers, the bar can't be a five-star sticker on an IG profile. Here's what we actually do.

Credentials

Verified coach credentials

Coaches who apply for the badge submit ID, coaching certification, and governing-body registration where applicable. A human reviews each application before a green check goes live. Community coaches can list without it.

Live
Reviews

Reviews only from booked sessions

You can only leave a review for a coach you actually paid and showed up to. No drive-by ratings from friends, no review-bombing from rivals. Every star traces to a real session.

Live
Accountability

No-show accountability

If your coach doesn't show, doesn't notify, or cancels within 2 hours of start time, it goes on their record — their reliability score takes the hit and repeat offenders are flagged for review. A flake costs them future bookings.

Planned
Reporting

Report any coach

One tap from any profile, booking, or chat thread. Reports go straight to a small human team, not a queue. Verified status can be revoked — the badge is conditional, not permanent.

FAQ

Student questions, answered.

The ones we hear from every player who's already booked a coach the bad way at least once.

Each coach sets their own rate and lists it publicly. In the Philippines, tennis 1-on-1s typically range from ₱1,000 to ₱2,000 per hour depending on coach experience and venue. Group clinics start around ₱500/seat. Court fees are itemised separately before you confirm so there are no surprises.

Yes. Each coach sets their own cancellation policy — shown on their profile before you book, not invented after — and most allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before the session. Since you pay the coach directly, any refund within that window is settled by the coach per their stated policy, and a coach who doesn't honor it takes the rating hit. Emergencies and weather cancellations are handled case by case, with a real person on our side, not a chatbot.

It goes on the coach's record. Unlike a blind GCash transfer to an anonymous IG account, you're booking a coach whose rating and standing are on the line — we dock their reliability score and flag repeat offences for review, so a flaky coach loses future bookings. You don't have to chase anyone or argue your case — the rating history does the work.

The green verified check means a human on our team has reviewed their ID, certification, and any governing-body registration. Unverified coaches can list profiles but don't get the badge and are de-prioritised in search. On top of that, every review on a coach's profile is from a real session paid through the app — you can't fake your way into five stars.

No. Coaches list the level ranges they teach — absolute beginner, intermediate, advanced, tournament prep — and you filter by yours. If you're brand new, set yourself as "Just learning" and you'll only see coaches who specialise in fundamentals. Coaches who say they'll teach anyone are tagged that way too.

Yes. Many coaches offer a 2-on-1 rate which is usually 30–50% more than 1-on-1, split between you. You add the second player when you book — they confirm in-app, the rate adjusts automatically, and both of you get session recaps. For more than two, look at group clinics.

Tennis, pickleball, padel, badminton, squash, and table tennis at launch in the Philippines. You can search across sports if you cross-train.

At any venue the coach lists, or at one you propose. Most coaches teach at 2–3 home courts and will travel within reason if you cover the court fee at a different venue. When you book, the venue is locked in along with the slot — no day-of "actually let's move to" surprises.
